4 Inch CapLogic Solder-Yourself Kit for Copper Stills

The CapLogic system uses a clean 4 inch fitting so a cap can seat onto your pot or thumper and lift off again for loading and cleaning, instead of being permanently fixed in place. This version is the solder-yourself kit: you supply the labor and keep more money in your pocket compared to a factory-assembled fitting.

It is aimed at hobby distillers who are comfortable with a torch and lead-free solder and want to build or upgrade their own rig. Fitting a CapLogic connection makes a thumper far easier to open between runs, which matters when you are charging it with fruit or sugar and then need to scrub it out afterward.

The kit is built around copper components for the vapor path, in keeping with copper's role in stripping sulfur from spirit. Use lead-free solder when you assemble it so the finished joint stays food-safe.
